The Arizona Council and chapters of Trout Unlimited are bringing the excitement of the outdoors to classrooms throughout Arizona with an expanded Trout-In-the-Classroom (TIC) Program. Trout-In-the-Classroom brings nature into the schools by offering students of all ages a chance to raise trout in a classroom setting. Caring for the fish fosters a conservation ethic in the students and a connection between caring for the fish and caring for the water. The program is a unique way to bring lessons about aquatic ecosystems, water quality, life cycles, food, fish biology and fishing recreation into the classroom.
Welcome to the Facebook group for Arizona Women in Trout Unlimited. This group was developed to introduce and support the Trout Unlimited Women’s Initiative, which has the primary goal of helping chapters increase membership among women and facilitate the development of women leaders in TU.
Our goal with this group is to educate, facilitate, and inspire one another as women anglers and conservationists.
With easy access to one another, we hope to encourage a space of mentoring and friendship. We encourage women to step up into leadership within their TU chapters and our state council.
Please be respectful of one another here and refrain from posting anything that would be offensive. We are here to encourage each other and promote an organization that we are passionate about.
